Antonela Malis was born in Split in a musical family. She started her music education from the age of four at the Josip Hatze Music School kindergarten and through many years as a soloist for the Srdele children’s choir. She graduated in music culture from the Music Academy in Split. In 1997 Antonela started postgraduate studies at the International Music Academy in Rome (AIDM) and in 2001 obtained her masters in bel canto singing under the mentorship of Teresa Rocchino. While in Rome in 1999, under the auspices of the Croatian Embassy and Institute of St. Jeronim, she performed for the Holy Father at the time - John Paul II, as well as Cardinal Ratzinger – today's Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.
In 1999 Antonela performed and won at the "Pacem in terris" international TV show competition (RAI 2), interpreting the song ''I’ te vurria vasà" and accompanied by Prof. Goran Listeš on guitar. During 2005-2006, Antonela performed with the Moscow State Symphonic Orchestra as Tatjana in P. I. Tchaikovsky’s opera "Eugene Onegin" in the most prestigious concert halls in Budapest, Vilach, Linz, Salzburg, Moscow, Dubna and Sochi.
In the past few years Antonela has focused on concert performances, having performed with a large number of artists and ensembles, including the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Cantus Ensemble, Croatian Baroque Ensemble, organist Mario Penzar and many others. Since February 2008 Antonela has been performing in the role of the nun Amenzija in the musical "Nunsens" at the Ivan pl. Zajc National Theatre in Rijeka. The "Nunsens" musical is based on the hit film "Sister Act".
Antonela’s solo singing performances have delighted many local and international audiences, while numerous music critics have not been able to be indifferent to her achievements.
